"Aikyam", a support group for cancer patients met at INHS Asvini on 06 April 2023. Surg RAdm Vivek Hande, Commanding Officer, INHS Asvini, was Chief Guest. Coordinated by Col Amol Patel, Senior Advisor Medical Oncology, meeting was attended by 150 enthusiastic and courageous patients. It focussed on patient empowerment and was aligned with the theme of Health For All, the motto for World Health Day this year. The meeting is a platform for sharing of experiences by patients to make cancer treatment strategies holistic. A panel discussion with various stakeholders was also organised to address emotional, psychological and physical problems faced by patients.
