The specialist Naval divers of SNC continued search operations in boat accident site at Malappuram on 09 May 2023. A total area of 90,000 sqm of backwater was thoroughly searched. The search efforts were undertaken in coordination with NDRF and Kerala Fire and Rescue team. Diving operations were conducted throughout the day with assistance of Diver Held Navigation System DHNS along with physical sea bed searches and towed diver searches. However, no bodies have been located so far.
