Passing out Parade of 104 IOTC

Passing out Divisions of 104 Integrated Officer Trainee Course IOTC was held onboard INS Tir on 13 May 2023. 120 Officer trainees including 12 Coast Guard and seven foreign trainees from Bangladesh, Myanmar, Mauritius and Seychelles passed out from hallowed portals of 1TS. RAdm Upal Kundu, CSO(Training), SNC reviewed Divisions and awarded trophies to meritorious officer trainees. The sea training phase of 104 IOTC commenced on 12 December 2022. During this period, trainees were imparted instructions and hands on practical experience on navigation, communications, gunnery, ASW, OOD/OOW duties and seamanship aspects.

The trainees visited ports on East and West coast of India and got an opportunity to sail overseas to Mauritius, Madagascar, Mozambique and Seychelles. The coveted CNS Trophy and Telescope for best all round trainee was awarded to Midshipman Akashdeep Kalia. Midshipman Arindam Sood received Binocular for standing first in overall Order of Merit. Asst Comdt Ravi Kumar received DG ICG Trophy for Best Coast Guard Trainee while Midshipman Abhay was awarded FOCINC South Rolling Trophy for Best Sportsman. Amongst the foreign trainees, Midshipman Mohd Abdur Rahin Rony from Bangladesh Navy was adjudged best Foreign trainee. During valedictory dinner hosted on 12 May 2023, Book prizes were awarded to passing out course. These officers will now join various frontline Naval warships and Coast Guard ships on Western and Eastern Sea board for further afloat training.
