Environment friendly month is being conducted at SNC from May - Jun 2023 in various parts of Kochi city under the theme 'Beat Plastic Pollution'. As part of environmental awareness drive, Naval personnel and families of INS Garuda and other units of SNC along with personnel from Cochin Port Trust Authority conducted a cleanship drive at Cochin Port Trust Avenue Walkway on 14 May 2023. The event evoked enthusiastic participation from local populace who joined cleanship campaign. The area was cleared of plastic and non biodegradable waste and handed over to municipal authorities.
