As part of operational outreach initiatives, INS Netaji Subhas under the aegis of NOIC(West Bengal) conducted Community Interaction Programs (CIPs) at two Coastal Fishing Villages, namely Parulia and Mograhat of South 24 Parganas on 17 and 18 May 2023 respectively. The CIPs aimed to build trust of fishing village communities towards Indian Navy to enhance Coastal Security consciousness. The CIPs were conducted in close coordination with Marine Police of West Bengal. Important lectures included Coastal Security, Safety at Sea and Role of Fishermen as 'eyes and ears' of Indian Navy.
