28 NCC cadets including seven girls from 1 Maharashtra Naval Unit NCC and Dockyard Apprentice School (DAS) participated in a special sailing camp conducted at Indian Navy Watermanship Training Centre INWTC Mumbai from 10-19 May 2023. The cadets were trained in advanced boat handling and tactics towards preparation for All India Yachting Regatta scheduled at Chilka in Nov 2023. Three NCC girl cadets namely, Ms Vishakha Pawar, Ms Anjali Sharma, and Ms Simran Gurav have been selected to train with Navy Sailing Team sailors in Nacra17 (Mixed) class of boats from 20 May and would be participating in YAI Senior Nationals scheduled in Oct 2023 in Mumbai.
