As part of Environment Friendly Month, a cleanship drive was undertaken at Fort Kochi and Mahatma Gandhi beaches on 28 May 2023. Personnel from NSRY, Kochi along with various other units of SNC participated in this mega cleanship drive spreading the message of environmental awareness. The theme of this year's cleanship drive has been ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. A stretch of 1.5 km of beach was cleared by enthusiastic officers and sailors. Washed off debris and plastic wastes were collected, segregated and disposed off appropriately.
