11-member US delegation led by VAdm Brad Cooper, Commander United States Naval Forces Central Command, Cdr Fifth Fleet and Cdr Combined Maritime Forces visited Mumbai from 29 to 31 May 2023 and called on VAdm Dinesh K Tripathi, FOCINC WNC. The delegation was briefed on roles, responsibilities and activities of WNC. VAdm Brad Cooper addressed senior officers of WNC on role of CMF and regional security environment. The focused discussions were fruitful in exploring avenues to strengthen Cooperation between two navies to enhance regional Maritime Security. The delegation was given a tour of Indigenous warship, INS Chennai and Heritage Museum, ND Mumbai wherein Maritime History of India was showcased to visitors.
