VAdm Dinesh K Tripathi, FOCINC WNC embarked Western Fleet from 01 to 02 Jun 2023 and reviewed readiness of Western Fleet of Indian Navy with both INS Vikramaditya and INS Vikrant at sea. During this unique twin carrier fleet deployment, CINC witnessed progress of carrier work up, various multi-ship drills and firing of weapons. He embarked both INS Vikramaditya and INS Vikrant to make a first-hand assessment of their fleet integration and readiness. CINC also assessed ability of Western Fleet to monitor Area of Responsibility of WNC through network centric capabilities. Onboard INS Vikrant, the torchbearer of Nation's resolve towards Aatmanirbharta, he appreciated ship’s indigenisation efforts and determination to achieve various milestone activities towards sensors and flight integration and completion of trials in a short span of time.
