As part of Indian Navy's deployment to ASEAN countries, INS Satpura arrived at Makassar, Indonesia on 04 June 2023 to participate in 4th edition of Multilateral Naval Exercise KOMODO (MNEK-23) scheduled from 05 to 08 June 2023. The ship will also represent Indian Navy at International Fleet Review IFR being reviewed by HE Joko Widodo, President of Republic of Indonesia on 05 June 2023. During harbour phase, INS Satpura will participate in International Maritime Security Symposium and various other activities that include City Parade, Cultural Programmes and Band performances. INS Satpura is also scheduled to participate in a multilateral maritime exercise on 08 Jun 2023. ASEAN is at core of India's Indo-Pacific policy as enunciated by Hon’ble PM of India. Indian Navy's regular participation in MNEK series of exercise is a reaffirmation of India's commitment to Act East in its endeavour to ensure 'Security and Growth for All in Region’ SAGAR. INS Satpura is currently mission deployed in South East Asia and participated in inaugural edition of ASEAN-India Maritime Exercise AIME23 from 02 - 08 May 2023 which witnessed participation by all ASEAN navies.
