As part of Sam No Varunah coastal car expedition conducted by Indian Navy, rally team of SNC along with members of NWWA(SR) visited Govt Old Age Home at Thevara, Kochi on 05 April 2023. One of the residents Shri Sebastian had projected his difficulty of vision due to cataract in his eye to rally participants. The medical condition of the senior citizen required a cataract surgery for restoration of vision. With intervention of Mrs Madhumati Hampiholi, President NWWA (SR), case of senior citizen was taken up by INHS Sanjivani. After necessary medical evaluations and due administrative procedures, Shri Sebastian underwent cataract surgery for his left eye on 30 May 2023 and laser procedure for his right eye thereby restoring complete vision in both eyes. Coordinated efforts of representatives of Govt Old Age home, NWWA(SR) members and medical team of INHS Sanjivani made this promise a reality.
