As part of Ocean Ring of Yoga initiative of GoI, INS Sunayana entered port of Mombasa, Kenya on 20 June 2023. Upon arrival, ship was received by Mr. Sandeep Sharma, Assistant High Commissioner, High Commission of India, Kenya and Assistant DA. The visit is aimed at spreading message of healthy and sustainable living by means of Yoga. On 21 June 2023, ship conducted a joint Yoga session onboard with participants from Kenya navy. Concurrently visit demonstrated India's cordial ties and sound Cooperation with Kenya and its armed forces. Apart from social interactions with senior military and civil dignitaries, two navies shared best practices and experiences, professional interactions, subject matter expert exchanges and cross deck visits. The visit also aimed at enhancing Interoperability, jointness and mutual cooperation between both navies.
