ND Visakhapatnam, under the aegis of ENC, commenced "K2K – Kakatiya to Karakoram" Outreach Programme on 22 Jun 2023 with flagging off of a motor car expedition from Visakhapatnam by RAdm Sanjay Sadhu, ASD. The programme, scheduled from 22 June to 19 July 2023 aims to promote maritime consciousness among local populace and instil younger generation at schools and colleges enroute to pursue a career in Armed Forces including Agnipath Scheme. One of the key objectives of outreach programme is also to emphasize vital role of women in Armed Forces by showcasing Nari Shakti. Outreach programme will cover a total distance of 7500km over a period of 28 days. The journey will be completed using six motor cars and will pass through several cities including Vijayawada, Nagpur, Jhansi, Delhi, Kufri, Kaza, Leh, Kargil, Srinagar, Lucknow, Ranchi, and Bhubaneswar. Each leg consists of 18 to 20 personnel, including women employees, who will actively engage with local communities enroute.
