Cmde Sudip Malik took over as NOIC, Gujarat on 21 Jun 2023 from Cmde Nitin Bishnoi at Ceremonial Divisions held at Porbandar. Commissioned in 1996, the officer is an alumnus of prestigious NDA, Khadakvasla. He is a specialist in Gunnery and Radar Technology and a graduate of NWC at Valparaiso, Chile and at Goa. Prior, taking over as NOIC Gujarat he has commanded two front line frigates, INS Beas and INS Gomati. The Officer has been commissioning Commanding Officer of INS Cheriyam. His other command assignments include command of INS Nireekshak and appointment as NOIC Kerala.
