Defence Select Committee of UK House of Commons led by The Rt Hon Tobias Elwood, MP visited Mumbai from 19 - 21 Jul 2023 to better understand current situation in Indo Pacific and IOR and to assess how UK could contribute towards ensuring security in region. At Mumbai, delegation interacted with VAdm Sanjay Bhalla, COS WNC and senior officers of Command over subjects of shared interests and envisaged roles of both countries in bolstering security apparatus. Ensuing discussions touched upon avenues that could further defence cooperation between two maritime nations. The delegation also visited indigenous destroyer INS Mormugao.
