A week of fun, information, knowledge and fierce competition on advantages of Millets was hosted at NCS Visakhapatnam from 19 Jul to 26 Jul 2023. A number of events including Slogan Writing, Poster Making, Quiz, Inter-school Paper Presentation, Panel Discussion and display of millets were conducted to highlight importance of Millets towards a healthy lifestyle and bring back traditional super food into our diets. A cooking competition using millets was also organised to introduce children to flavourful dishes. Brigadier S Ramanathan, DGNP (V) was the Chief Guest for Valedictory Function on 26 Jul 2023. The winners of various competitions and participants were given certificates and trophies. Chief Guest released a book which was a compilation of recipes of millets and congratulated participants and appreciated initiative taken up by school to revive food of our forefathers. Brigadier S Ramanathan stressed on the need for young generation to choose a healthy lifestyle which would prove to be useful for them in future.
