ENC bid adieu to VAdm Biswajit Dasgupta FOCINC ENC on his superannuation on 31 Jul 2023 at an impressive Ceremonial Parade held at Naval Base, Visakhapatnam. Admiral inspected the Ceremonial Guard and reviewed platoons of naval and DSC personnel of Command. The ceremony was attended by all Flag Officers and Commanding Officers of ships, submarines and establishments. This was followed by traditional ‘Pulling Out’ ceremony. VAdm Biswajit Dasgupta superannuated from Naval Service on completion of over 38 years of illustrious service to Nation and Navy. During his 20 months tenure at helm of ENC, Command witnessed a high operational tempo with ships, submarines and aircraft deployed from Eastern Pacific to East Coast of Africa. Additionally, ENC carried out crucial HADR operations like evacuating stranded Indian nationals from Sudan during OpKaveri and providing HADR to Myanmar after Cyclone Mocha as part of OpKaruna. The Command also successfully conducted important flagship events such as multilateral Maritime International Exercise - MILAN2022, PFR22 and Navy Day OpDemo22 which was witnessed by Hon’ble President of India. He proactively spearheaded a number of infrastructure projects to enhance overall quality of life in ENC. His tenure also saw establishment of Sea Harrier Museum at Visakhapatnam and TU Museum at Kolkata.
