On the occasion of 77th Independence Day, a wreath was laid by VAdm MA Hampiholi FOCINC SNC at SNC War Memorial in honour of all Naval personnel who have made the supreme sacrifice for country in the line of duty. FOCINC reviewed the Ceremonial Parade commanded by Commander Nathan Vigneshwar. On this occasion, the President's Colour awarded to SNC was also paraded. Addressing the parade, VAdm MA Hampiholi conveyed his greetings to all personnel and their families on 77th Independence Day. He highlighted growth story of a strong and resilient India overcoming unprecedented challenges post independence that has earned respect of the world's nations. He reminded everyone of the important role of Armed Forces in protecting the sovereignty of the nation. He implored upon all personnel to continuously hone the skills and knowledge to be combat ready, credible, cohesive and a future proof force. FOCINC congratulated personnel of SNC who were awarded commendations on the occasion. All Naval ships were 'dressed overall' with various signal flags to mark the occasion.
