Sea Cadet Corps SCC of Kochi Unit functioning under Seamanship Training School brought laurels by winning all the three categories of Best Armed Platoon, Best Unarmed Platoon and Best Band Contingent on Independence Day Parade held at Collectorate Parade Ground, Kochi on 15 Aug 2023. 24 platoons from State Police, Army NCC, Navy NCC, SCC, Student Police Cadets, Scouts and Guides, Red Cross and various schools of Kochi participated in the parade. The awards were presented by Chief Guest, Shri K Radhakrishnan, Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes of Kerala in presence of District Collector, Ernakulam and Commissioner of Police, Kochi.
