INS Sharda, Indian Navy's Offshore Patrol Vessel entered Port Louis, Mauritius on 13 Sep 2023, after completion of joint EEZ surveillance with Mauritius National Coast Guard. On arrival, the ship was accorded warm welcome by the Mauritius Coast Guard Dornier and Mauritian Police Force Band. The ship is on a three day visit to the port and will engage in several professional interactions and cross training visits. A guided tour of the ship was provided to MNCG personnel who were familiarised with ship's role and capabilities. The visit reinforces close ties with Mauritius in line with Hon’ble PM’s vision of Security and Growth for All in the Region.
