Vice Admiral MA Hampiholi FOCINC ENC reviewed the Passing Out Parade of the second batch of Agniveers at INS Chilka on 26 Sep 2023. A total of 2896 Agniveers and Coast Guard (including 448 women) successfully passed out from the portals of INS Chilka in a post sunset ceremony. Parents and family members of the passing out course also attended the event and witnessed the momentous occasion. The POP marks the culmination of 16 weeks of rigorous training and beginning of a new voyage in the Indian Navy towards a combat ready, credible, cohesive and future proof force. The Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief complimented the passing out course for the immaculate turn out as well as crisp and synergised movements indicating high standards of training and discipline. He urged the trainees to build upon Navy's core values of Duty, Honour and Courage. He also complimented Team Chilka for high standards of training imparted to the future sea warriors. The Chief Guest awarded medals and trophies to the meritorious trainees on this occasion. Baghel A Mukesh Kumar AVR SSR and Nandlal AVR MR received the Chief of Naval Staff Rolling Trophies whereas Ankit Yadav NVK GD and Ram Patruni D Rao NVK DB were awarded the Director General Coast Guard Rolling Trophies for standing first in overall order of merit in respective trades of Agniveers and Naviks( both in Men's category). Nandini Jangid, AVR SSR was awarded the Gen Bipin Rawat Rolling Trophy for standing first in overall order of merit amongst women Agniveers. As part of passing out activities, a valedictory function was conducted wherein the trainees showcased their talents in a vibrant cultural programme. The overall Championship Trophy was awarded to Shivaji Division.On this occasion, the winter edition of bilingual Magazine 'Ankur' was also unveiled.
