Indian Navy undertook a massive Swachhata drives through Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Campaigns at several locations all over the nation which showcased Indian Navy's commitment to providing a clean environment for society and towards fulfilment of Gandhiji's dream of a garbage-free India on 01 Oct 2023. Naval Personnel from ships and establishments and their families, led by VAdm Sameer Saxena, COS ENC participated in a massive cleanliness drive at RK Beach which began with volunteers taking Swachhata Pledge. Several Naval units under the command undertook Swachhata drives with family members. Naval personnel at Visakhapatnam also conducted a massive Swachhata drives in collaboration with district administration and civil populace at various locations in Visakhapatnam which included beach cleanup drives with 800 personnel at RK Beach, 400 Naval personnel at Bheemli Beach and 700 personnel at Yarada Beach. In addition, several drives under this campaign at various other locations of the city such as railway tracks, roadsides orphanage homes, schools etc. were conducted.
