As an initiative by the Indian Navy towards furthering Indian Navy's diplomatic outreach to friendly foreign navies in the IOR, a three and a half month refit of Mauritius Coast Guard Ship MCGS Victory is planned at Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam commencing Oct 2023. MCGS Victory arrived at Visakhapatnam on 30 Sep 2023 and would be undergoing a series of pre-refit trials prior commencing her refit. The ship was designed and constructed by M/s Goa Shipyard Ltd and was handed over to Mauritius Coast Guard in Sep 2016.
