A Promo run as a precursor to Vizag Navy Marathon 23, was held on 02 October 2023. The 5 km Promo-run from the Alluri Sita Rama Raju circle along RK Beach road towards the Naval Coastal Battery was flagged of by Commodore CS Nayar, CO, INS Kalinga. Vizag Navy Marathon is a flagship event of ENC conducted as part of Navy day celebrations. The event will be held this year on 05 Nov 2023. The race has four categories - Full marathon (42.2 kms), Half Marathon (21.1 kms), 10 kms run and 5 kms run. One can register for the Vizag Navy Marathon 23 by logging in to www.vizagnavymarathon.run. The races for the marathon will start from MGM Park towards Naval Coastal Battery, take a U-turn near Kalimata temple at RK Beach. 5K run will finish back at MGM Park however other races will continue further along the beach road with various races turning as follows - Full marathon near INS Kalinga, Half Marathon near Gitam College and 10K run near Tenneti Park. Attractive cash prizes will be given away to top three finishers in each categories.
