Training camps Barracuda for second term INA course and Rookie for Naval Orientation Course NOC, was conducted at INA from 04 to 07 Oct 2023. A total of 123 trainees including 07 international trainees participated in the challenging camps. The camps are aimed at developing esprit de corps, camaraderie and leadership skills, while testing physical endurance and mental strength of cadets. The camp activities comprised endurance runs, Small Arms Firing, Tent Pitching, construction of rafts and punting, obstacle courses, whaler pulling and other seamanship evolutions. On final day, cadets were put to test in a highly challenging Quadrathlon comprising a 10 km run in full battle gear, 50m swimming, Obstacle Course and weapon firing. Achiever Squadron and Daredevil Squadron won the banner for camp Barracuda and Rookie respectively for Autumn Term 2023. Cadet Juggamah Prisita of Mauritius National Coast Guard marked a historic milestone as the first International woman trainee to participate in prestigious INA camps. VAdm Puneet K Bahl, Commandant, INA awarded the Camp Banners and Trophies to winning squadrons during Camp Fire and congratulated all the participants for successfully completing a landmark training activity.
