Annual Joint HADR Exercise 2023 CHAKRAVAT being hosted by Indian Navy at Goa commenced with a Seminar on 09 Oct 2023, which aimed to discuss synergy in response to climate change and associated disaster adaptation and mitigation. Three topics namely, ‘Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction: Practical Solutions’, ‘Disaster Response in IOR: A Collaborative Approach’ and ‘NGO Collaboration in Disaster Reduction and Response: An Integrated Approach’ were deliberated. The Seminar saw participation of various national agencies as well as representatives from Comoros, Madagascar, Maldives, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles, Sri Lanka and Tanzania.
