The ships of 1TS comprising INS Tir, INS Sujata, INS Sudarshini and ICGS Sarathi visited Changi, Singapore from 04-07 Oct 2023. The visit was enriching for the trainees who got opportunity to visit Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) Museum and Naval Warfare and Esports Lab at Changi and interact with the RSN midshipmen. As part of cross training visit, RSN officers visited INS Sudarshini and were familarised with nuances and challenges onboard sail ship. The HCI and members from diplomatic Corps also visited INS Sudarshini on 06 Oct 2023. A reception was hosted onboard for RSN officers, members of Diplomatic Corps and also the Indian diaspora. The High Commissioner of India, Dr Shilpakala Ambule interacted with trainees and shared his experiences on growing maritime cooperation between India and Singapore including recent participation in ASEAN India Maritime exercise in May 2023. The ships of 1TS were open to visitors and witnessed overwhelming response. Students from various schools visited ships and were provided glimpse of life onboard warship. The ships departed Singapore on 07 Oct 2023 and will enter Jakarta on 10 Oct 2023.
