Cmde L M Fernandes took over as Commodore Commanding Submarines (East) COMCOS (E) and Commanding Officer INS Virbahu from Cmde Chetan Chandegave on 26 Oct 2023. The ceremonial parade was conducted at INS Virbahu followed by a wreathlaying ceremony. An Anti-Submarine Warfare specialist, Cmde Fernandes has commanded INS Shishumar, INS Shankush and Fleet Tanker INS Jyoti.
