School of Naval Oceanology and Meteorology celebrated 38 years of meteorological excellence on 01 Nov 2023. Beginning as a Meteorological Training Section within INS Garuda in Jun 1968, it became a dedicated professionals school on 01 Nov 1985. The school is also part of CUSAT's centre of excellence for Ocean and Atmospheric Studies. Over the years, unit has tirelessly and relentlessly pursued the path of METOC (Meteorology and Oceanography) training and learning with unwavering excellence throughout its journey.
