In the run up to Navy Week 2023, the SNC is organising a multi-specialty medical camp at Lakshadweep from 15 to 19 Nov 2023. A medical team comprising specialists from the field of Dental, Surgery, Radiology, Gynecology, Paediatric, ENT, Ophthalmology, Medicine and Dermatology of INHS Sanjivani are conducting the camp in five selected islands. The first camp was held at Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centre, Androth Island on 15 Nov 2023. A massive turnout of over 1000 patients was registered for the camp. Medical advice on management of Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, diagnosis and management of cases of respiratory diseases and antenatal care to pregnant ladies was provided. Amongst infant and children, cases of respiratory infection, atopic dermatitis and nutritional anemia were diagnosed and treated. USG Scan of pregnant ladies was also carried out to detect anomalies. As part of the camp, training was provided to the local doctors and health care staff. The camp provided the necessary succor to the residents of the island and the efforts of Indian Navy was well appreciated and acknowledged. Indian Navy remains committed to the development of Lakshadweep Island.
