INS Sharda entered Port Antsiranana, Madagascar on 17 Nov 2023 as part of ongoing operational deployment. The ship will participate in various professional interactions and training exchanges with the Malagasy Navy during the four day visit. On arrival, Commanding Officer of INS Sharda called on Arona Daodo Marisiky,the Governor of Diana region of Madagascar and Captain Raorasata Dibiharivony Gislain Commander Malagasy Naval Base in Antsiranana. The ship's visit is aimed at strengthening bridges of friendship and the Indian Navy's sustained efforts towards ensuring maritime security in the region by partnering with regional navies in line with Hon'ble PM's vision of Security And Growth for All in the Region SAGAR.
