INS Neelkanth, a 40 feet sailing boat of ENC has successfully completed ocean race as part of ongoing Inter Command Sailing Race 2023. Commander Vineet Doshi, the skipper of ENC boat and his team of eight men and women crew, with exceptional grit and seafaring skills sailed high seas and reached Goa on 25 Nov 2023 as first amongst all four vessels. The competition was flagged off from Kochi to Goa on 22 Nov 2023 and the boat covered a distance of over 360 Nm (700 km). The crew encountered heavy rain and sea states upto 04 along with wind speed gusting to over 25 Knots (46 KM per hour) for over a duration of two days. The determined crew took challenges in their stride and conquered the odds and made the ENC proud. The team also showcased extraordinary seamanship and Navigational prowess in helming 40 footer INSV Neelkanth through its journey.
