Surg RAdm Anupam Kapur, Command Medical Officer, WNC inaugurated the Advanced Ultrasound Division and upgraded Central Sterile Supply Depot Complex (CSSD) on 28 Nov 2023 at INHS Asvini. The state-of-art Ultrasound machines incorporate AI, which assists in better and reproducible diagnosis thus enabling faster patient throughput. This facility will also add a newer domain in tissue imaging like breast and thyroid elastography. The CSSD complex is equipped with 06 new fully automatic horizontal steam sterilizers that are used for supply of sterile equipment, dressing and linen to the entire hospital. The upgradation of services will greatly enhance holistic patient care at INHS Asvini.
