An all India Sea Training Camp is being conducted by NCC from 11 to 22 Dec 2023 at Mumbai. 110 cadets from 10 NCC Directorates from various states are attending the camp, which will give them exposure about life onboard warships. As part of sea training, cadets are staying onboard Western Fleet ships INS Beas, INS Betwa, INS Brahmaputra and INS Tarkash. During a day long sea sortie off Mumbai, cadets were exposed to various exercises and activities conducted by Indian Navy. They took active part in many evolutions at sea and could gather immense learning value. During a high tea event onboard INS Tarkash, the cadets had an informal interaction with ADG, NCC Directorate Maharashtra and FOCWF. During visit to Naval Dockyard, Mumbai, cadets got an opportunity to see all repair facilities within dockyard. They will also visit submarines and be taken to Military History Society Museum during the camp. The cadets are also scheduled to visit INS Shikra, the naval aviation base in South Mumbai. As part of Puneet Sagar Abhiyaan, they will be undertaking a cleanship drive at INWTC water front area. Mumbai Darshan has also been planned for cadets during the camp.
