A spectacular Beating Retreat and Tattoo Ceremony was held on 14 Dec 2023 at iconic arch-monument of Gateway of India to commemorate Navy Day 23. The ceremony was graced by esteemed presence of Shri Ramesh Bais, Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was witnessed by a large audience comprising senior officials from Govt of Maharashtra, veterans and dignitaries. The event served as a tribute to valour of Indian Navy personnel, marking the 52nd anniversary of their role in decisive victory in 1971 Indo-Pak War. The evening featured awe-inspiring performances by Navy Band, SCC and continuity drill by Indian Navy personnel showcasing precision and discipline. Op Demo and a Fly Past by Naval helicopters from INS Shikra also enthralled spectators at the venue.
