Commissioned on 20 Dec 1974 INAS 336, the Flaming Arrows completed 49 years of glorious service to nation on 20 Dec 2023. The Alma mater of Sea King, the Squadron has an impeccable legacy replete with distinct operations and training event. The squadron has unique distinction of having operated from all aircraft carriers, erstwhile INS Vikrant, INS Viraat, INS Vikramaditya and the indigenous INS Vikrant. Having participated in OpRahat, Op Sahayam, Op Parakram, Op Madad, the Squadron has undertaken numerous SAR and HADR operations noteworthy during Kerala floods in 2018. As the Squadron inches closer to Golden Jubilee, may the Arrows continue to soar high.
