In continuation with the vision of FitIndia, INS Shivaji is undertaking an Ultra Cycling Expedition named Veer Shivaji Cycling Expedition as part of RepublicDay celebrations. The event was flagged off by Cmde Mohit Goel,Commanding Officer,INS Shivaji from Lonavala on 04 Jan 2024. The expedition will be completed in two phases from Lonavala to INS Valsura at Jamnagar, Gujarat and back. In about 20 days, the participants will cover a distance of more than 2000 kms. During the journey, team will interact with local populace spreading awareness about India's maritime heritage representing the rich legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji
