Armed Forces Veterans Day is commemorated every year nation wide to acknowledge and honour the unwavering contribution and sacrifice of our Veterans. 8th Armed Forces Veterans Rally for Tri Services personnel, was conducted at SNC, Kochi on 14 Jan 2024. Flag Officers, officers and personnel from Indian Navy, Indian Army and Indian Airforce and about 300 veterans and their families attended the rally. On this occasion, Vice Admiral V Srinivas, FOCINC, SNC laid a wreath at VenduruthyWarMemorial and paid homage to bravehearts for their supreme sacrifice and service to the Nation. Wreath were also laid by Air Vice Marshal Atul Garg from Southern Air Command and Col Joseph Antony from Station HQ (Army). Vice Admiral MP Muralidharan (Retd), President Navy Foundation Kerala Chapter along with other distinguished veterans placed wreath during the ceremony. The wreath laying ceremony was followed by Veterans Rally. CINC delivered the keynote address and extended greetings to the veterans and their families. He expressed his deepest gratitude to veterans community for their service to Armed Forces and contribution to Nation Building. He emphasised on Camaraderie between serving and veteran members reaffirming the bonds together as one extended military family. He touched upon numerous key initiatives undertaken in various fields towards enhancing well-being of the veterans. During the event, Gallantry award winner veterans were felicitated by CINC. Various Help Desks and stalls were set up at the venue by all three services and major banks to address issues of veterans.
