Admiral Fahad Abdullah S Al-Ghofaily, Chief of Staff, Royal Saudi Naval Force (RSNF) along with seven-member delegation were on two day official visit to SNC, Kochi from 12-13 Jan 2024. During the visit, Chief of Staff, RSNF interacted with Vice Admiral V Srinivas, FOCINC, SNC and held discussions on a wide range of issues including training and interoperability in Maritime Cooperation. The visiting delegation was presented a brief overview of historical, training and operational aspects of Indian Navy. Discussions were held on various avenues of cooperation in areas of Naval Training, capability enhancement and training exchanges. 55 cadets of King Fahd Naval Academy, Saudi Arabia underwent maiden afloat training on board ships of 1TS at Kochi from 16 May - 07 Jun 2023. The professional expertise gained by RSNF cadets during their sea attachment with Indian Navy at SNC was appreciated by the Chief of Staff, RSNF. The delegation visited various Training establishments of SNC and witnessed state of the art training infrastructure, facilities and demonstration on simulators. Chief of Staff, RSNF also interacted with Rear Admiral Susheel Menon, FOST on various avenues of engagement in Operational SeaTraining. A guided tour of the indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant and ship repair facilities at CSL was also conducted. The extant visit by Chief of Staff, RSNF reaffirms Indian Navy's significant association with RSNF and shared commitment between two Maritime Nations.
