The Institute of Naval Medicine, INHS Asvini conducted a seminar on Bio-innovation to showcase in-house innovations carried out by Medical Officers of the Indian Navy. Surg VAdm Arti Sarin DGMS (Navy) addressed all the Medical, Dental and Nursing Officers of Mumbai Station and encouraged them to promote innovative ideas among young officers aligning with MakeinIndia initiative of the Govt of India. During the event the DGMS unveiled a bust of Surg Lt Sudansu Sekhar Panda, Vir Chakra (Posthumous), who was the Medical Officer onboard INS Khukhri during 1971 Indo-Pak War.
