Kochi Navy Cyclothon 2024

The highly anticipated first edition of Kochi Navy Cyclothon 2024 was conducted by SNC on 21 Jan 2024. The event witnessed participation of 586 cycling enthusiasts from the Indian Navy and Kochi city. The 75 km ride was flagged off by RAdm Upal Kundu, Chief of Staff, Southern Naval command while the 40 km ride was flagged off by Cmde RK Yadav, Naval Officer In Charge (Kerala) from KV Port Trust Ground at Willingdon Island. The 40 km route traversed through the prominent city locations amidst iconic beauty of the backwaters. The signature route of 75 km took the cyclists through the scenic landscapes to Kalamassery, airport and back. The successful finishers of the event were awarded finishers medals in both categories as token of encouragement. The Kochi Navy Cyclothon is a testament of the Indian Navy's commitment towards sports and fitness as a way of life while promoting green initiatives.
