Annual General Meeting of Indian Naval Sailing Association (INSA)

The Annual General Meeting of Indian Naval Sailing Association INSA under chairmanship of Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, COP and President INSA was held at Naval Headquarters NHQ on 24 Jan 2024. The venue for the meeting was iconic KotaHouse and it was attended by representatives of 22 Indian Naval Watermanship Training Centres INWTCs spread over all three Naval Commands and Andaman and Nicobar Command ANC. In addition, delegates from NHQ, all Commands, Ocean Sailing Node OSN, Navy Boys Sports Company NBSC, three national class associations managed by IndianNavy and National Federation Yachting Association of India YAI also participated in the event. The event was coordinated by INSA based at NHQ. During the deliberations, COP reviewed the short, medium and long term plans of various Commands to revitalise and popularise the sport of sailing with an aim of producing champions at the international level. He also exhorted all members at ground execution level to scout talent and work scientifically and in a focused manner to take Naval and Indian Sailing to greater glory at World stage.
