Exercise JALPRAHAR, an Indian Navy and Indian Army biannual joint exercise, commenced at Visakhapatnam on 22 Jan 2024. The harbour phase is at Visakhpatnam from 22 Jan 2024 to 26 Jan 2024 while the sea phase will be conducted off Kakinada from 27 Jan 2024 to 31 Jan 2024. The exercise aims to consolidate synergy amongst Armed Forces and validate Standard Operating Procedures to undertake complex amphibious operations.
