Rear Admiral V Harke assumed the duties of CSO(Ops) at Headquarters, WNC. An Anti-Submarine Warfare specialist, the officer has the distinction of being the Commissioning Commanding Officer of INS Vikrant. An alumnus of DSSC and NHCC, he has held a multitude of staff and afloat appointments including Command of INS Jalashwa, Fleet Operations Officer Eastern Fleet and Directorate of Staff Requirement at NHQ amongst others.
