On the occasion of 75th Republic Day, Vice Admiral V Srinivas, FOCinC, SNC paid homage to bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in service to nation by placing wreath at Venduruthy War Memorial at INS Venduruthy. The Commander-in-Chief thereafter, reviewed the ceremonial parade commanded by Commander Vijayant Rai. The ships in harbour were dressed overall in ceremonial flags to mark the occasion. Addressing the parade, the Commander-in-Chief complimented the officers, men and women on parade and conveyed his greetings to all personnel and their families on the 75th Republic Day. He recounted country's amazing journey that has inspired many other nations recognising India as the mother of democracy. Unity in diversity has been the pillar of strength in becoming a successful democratic republic. Highlighting the current geo political situation in the region, he exemplified the crucial role played by Indian Navy towards safeguarding the maritime interest and trade over sea. He shared Indian Navy's vision of becoming the lead Navy of the world by embracing Aatmanirbharta with a goal to achieve 100 percent self sufficiency by 2047 and outreach initiative of 'Mahasagar' (Maritime Heads for Active Security and Growth for All in the region). The Commander-in-Chief urged all personnel to actively contribute towards the goal of Viksit Bharat and continue to achieve excellence in training, operations and maintenance while setting new targets and achieve success.
