As part of adventure activity and outreach program, a cycling expedition of Indian Navy is under progress from Mangalore to Kochi. The 20 member IN cycling team, led by Captain Gurpartap Singh, will be passing through the steep inclines of Coorg, Wayanad, Nilgiris and Munnar. During their halt at Kotagiri, the team undertook awareness campaign in four schools on 02 Feb 2024. The team visited the Hillfort Matriculation Hr. Sec School Kotagiri, Govt. Hr.Sec.School Nedugula, Govt Higher Secondary School Kaircombai and Kotagiri Public School. The major objectives of the awareness campaign were to enhance awareness about IN among the youth and motivate them to join Navy. Presentations were given by the team and an overwhelming response was received from all schools. The team also distributed various publicity material to schools.
