DNE in collaboration with CSTT, Ministry of Education, GOI conducted a Hindi Seminar (RajbhashaSangoshti) on 23 Feb 2024 at INS India Conference Hall. The Seminar was attended by officers, sailors and civilian staff posted at different directorates of Naval HQs. The theme of the seminar was ‘Usage of Scientific & Technical Terminology and Official Language Policy’ where renowned speakers like Professor Girish Nath Jha, Chairman CSTT; Dr Baldevanand Sagar, Senior Sanskrit Media Expert Akashvani & Doordarshan; Dr. Budhha Chandrashekhar, Chief Co-ordinating Officer All India Council for Technical Education AICTE and Shri Zahir Hussain, Joint Director OL, Department of Nuclear Energy delivered informative talks on inclusion of scientific and technical words in Hindi Language and emphasized upon production of scientific and technical literature in Indian languages to promote education in Indian languages. Speakers also demonstrated indigenously developed AI tools and applications which could be used for translation into various regional and international languages. Cmde Edwin Jothi Rajan, Cmde Naval Education felicitated the guest speakers.
