Vice Admiral Mark Hammond, Chief of Navy, Royal Australian Navy was on a three day visit to Southern Naval Command SNC, Kochi, from 03 - 05 April 2024. He visited Indigenous Aircraft Carrier INS Vikrant where he was provided an overview of ship's capabilities. During visit to the training establishments at Kochi, he witnessed state of the art facilities at 'Integrated Simulator Complex' Dhruv and Damage Control Training facility 'Avinash' which provide training on real time scenarios and situations at sea. The extant visit underscores the growing significance of maritime engagement between the two countries.
