The ships of First Training Squadron 1TS comprising INS Tir, INS Sujata and CGS Sarathi are on training deployment to East coast of India including Andaman and Nicobar Islands. As part of deployment trainees would be familarised with Indian harbours and defence establishments and ships on eastern sea board. During ship's port call at Chennai, the trainees visited OTA on 28 January 2023. They were briefed about history, training pattern and facilities of the Academy. They were taken on a windshield tour of academy and got the first hand experience of sister service training.
