Visit of Royal Navy Ship to Kochi

Royal Navy Frigate HMS Lancaster made port call at Kochi on 23 March 2023 post completion of Konkan 23, Bilateral exercise between the Indian Navy and Royal Navy. The ship was accorded a warm reception amidst fanfare by Indian Naval Band. The Royal Navy ship is visiting Kochi for Operational turn around. A UK delegation led by Rear Admiral Robert Pedre, Commander of UK Strike Force called on Rear Admiral Rahul Vilas Gokhale, FOST. They discussed issues of enhanced Interoperability and avenues of strengthening training initiatives. As part of professional interactions and exchange of best practices, a team of officers from SNC visited the Royal Navy ship.The ship's crew also visited professional training schools at Kochi and were apprised of the training facilities and initiatives.
